COMPUTATIONAL
METHODS IN
ASTROPHYSICS AND SPACE SCIENCES |
||
This CDI Project is proposed by a research group representing a consortium of universities
specialized in fundamental research and space science. The main goal of the present
project is to provide new computational methods (through computer programs and procedures)
for investigating various phenomena in gravitation theories with applications in
astrophisical mesurements to be done in terestrial or/and space mission observatories. The
accent will be focused on alternative gravity theories trigerd by the recent detection of
gravitational waves. The study of spatial dynamics will be extended this time to the
dynamics of cosmic objects. Both cosmic radiation and cosmic matter (including satellites
and rockets) will be considered. Also, the studies on the solar plasma will be focused on
the specific aspect of the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability in the solar partially ionized
plasma. This research project is based on results and topics obtained in a previous STAR
Program project.
